The Carr Family

From Cody Carr

A Montana outfitting family.

Cody Carr's Hunting Adventures is based in Northwest Montana. Cody was born and raised in a family outfitting business and has guided every year since he was 18. He became a licensed Montana outfitter in 2004.

The team prepares year-round by scouting, running trail cameras and shed hunting. Guided opportunities include elk, whitetail, mule deer and black bear during archery and rifle seasons, plus special-permit or quota hunts such as mountain lion, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and Shiras moose.

Hunts take place across the Lolo, Superior and Kootenai National Forest mountain ranges and other permitted or leased ground. Most hunting is on foot, with horses or spike camps used when they provide better access. The method changes with the species, conditions and best opportunity.

Home base is the lodge, where hunters can return to a hot shower, home-cooked food, conversation and rest. Summer and winter recreation are also part of the operation, including fishing, horseback trips and time in Western Montana's lakes, streams and mountain country.
